We absolutely loved our stay at Sand y Sol. The house was perfectly described and fit our needs. The neighborhood was great and everyone we encountered was so nice. Was much better than staying in Gulf Shores or any other touristy area.

This location is a great place for relaxing and enjoying the beach! It's walking distance from the beach and the house sits to where you have an excellent view of the Gulf without having other houses blocking the view.
The beach is so private, uncrowded and beautiful. Black dolphins swimming along the shore, jumping fish, white crabs at night!
The house had everything we needed when it came time to cook and eat. My favorite part of the house was the ice machine!
The house also had beach toys and chairs under the house so you don't have to bring your own if you didn't want to [chairs may not always be available because they rust and people throw them out].
If you plan on going to Dauphin Island and make sure you go early and get to the ferry early. We waited an hour to get on the ferry and another hour to get back.
We had a great time and loved it! We would definitely like to come back!

This is a big house. The 4 baths were wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked. There were beach towels and beach toys that the owners allow guests to use!! Everything was absolutely wonderful. It’s an easy walk to the beach and a stones throw from the pool! Very very family friendly neighborhood.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home to spend our time at the beach. Our party had 6 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of room for us all. We really appreciated the family sized dining table and the installed ice maker. No ice runs to the convenience store for us! The pool was great, the short walk to the beach, not a problem. The home had plenty of towels and super clean linens on the beds. The master suite was amazing and the beach views made it even lovelier. Book this home, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Bea and Mark for opening your home to us.

The house was a perfect fit for our family. Very close to the pool and hottub, while just a short walk to the beach. The house has plenty of room to spread out and the bunk bed room is a great room for our teenage kids. They loved being able to sit around and talk all night long. The fishing was wonderful the week we were there since the Redfish were running. Thanks for a great vacation home that was really perfect for our needs.

I cannot say enough great things about this home !! We were traveling with 8 adults and 4 children ages 3-16 and everyone loved it. The pictures do not do the size justice. There was plenty of space for everyone ! Having 4 bathrooms was wonderful !!! We do a family trip with everyone every two years and we are already talking about coming back to Fort Morgan and staying here again. The walk to the beach was so easy and to have parking there as well to get all the beach items a little closer was great ! The neighborhood was nice and little traffic so the kids could ride their bikes outside in the drive or down to the boardwalk. There was plenty of parking space for all three of the SUVs we drove. The pool was so close too which was nice to be able to take the toddlers when they were tired of the sand and ocean. Communication was great with the host on all questions I had before and during our stay !!! If you are looking for a place in this area don't hesitate and book !!

Sand y Sol was perfect. We had a group of 13 and had plenty of room. Beautiful beach views from the decks and easy access to the beach. Beatrice was friendly and always answered my questions right away. Away from the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores but an easy drive to get there if you choose. Perfect place for an extended family to enjoy the beach together!

Our family had a great time in your home. We had a relaxing winter vacation with our 3 sons from the stress of school and work. We also celebrated our 25th anniversary while here! We brought my parents with us on this trip and this was their first time to the area and the gulf, and they enjoyed the beauty of the beach, gulf and your home! Thanks and blessings.

What an amazing time we had in Ft. Morgan and Sand y Sol. We spent a lot of time at the beach and the upstairs balcony. What a view! We visited Ft. Morgan - such amazing history. We rented a boat from the marina by Tacky Jacks 2. We saw many, many dolphins. So cool!

We had an amazing time at Sand y Sol in Fort Morgan, Alabama. As a family of 5 this house had more than enough space for us, which was perfect!!
The food was amazing. The better restaurants we went to were Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass and The Original Oyster House. The best by far was Sassy Bass, and it was a fairly short ride there. Cripy Kreme also provided a delicious morning meal for us.
Most of our vacation was spent on the beach where we couldn't get enough of riding the waves on the Belly Boards! We also spent a little time at the pool to cool off from the hot Alabama sun. On the days it rained we went into town and went to a strip mall where we bought a variety of things.

We had a wonderful week staying at Sand y Sol, where we enjoyed the best of both worlds: a luxury beach house with all the comforts of home!
We loved all of the things that we were able to see and do close by. We walked to Fort Morgan and learned about it's fascinating history. We took the ferry to Dauphin Island and explored the Audubon Bird Sanctuary. We drove to Bayou La Batre, where the shrimping scenes from Forrest Gump were filmed, and found a really great spot for a deliciously messy lunch of crawfish at The Bayou Bait Shop, watching shrimp boats go by. How perfect!
We loved going to Tacky Jacks 2, just across the street, for a casual seafood dinner while watching the sun set. (Don't miss their Bushwacker! We didn't!)
But our favorite thing of all was spending time along the beach. We watched the pelicans and dolphins, jogged daily to the end of the peninsula, and collected a ton of shells. We put the shells into a jar we purchased from the store by the Sassy Bass and made a terrific souvenir. We hope this jar will bring us warm memories when we're struggling through our cold Chicago winters! Can't wait to return!

We had a great time in Ft. Morgan and at Sand y Sol. It was perfect for the 7 of us! We enjoyed the view and the large family area.
We spent most days at the beach and pool. We were able to take the ferry to Dauphin Island to visit the Sea Lab and Ft. Gaines.
We went out to eat at Tacky Jack 2, Sassy Bass, The Hideaway and The Original Oyster House. Our favorites were Sassy Bass and the Hideaway!

Fantastic Find! - April 2014
When we booked this house, we did not realize at the time that it was in the same complex as another house we had rented a few years ago. We were pleasantly surprised with that since we really enjoyed the area/beach/pools before. The house was beautiful and the views from the decks/windows were fantastic. We had two families staying (4 adults and 5 kids ranging from age 6 to 17) in the house with plenty of space for all of us. The bedrooms were all a good size with the master bedroom upstairs being exceptionally large with a beautiful deck to watch the sunset from. The pictures do not do it justice, the living/dining area is much larger than it appears. I certainly cannot say enough about having four bathrooms too! It is a very easy and quick walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful and with it being in Fort Morgan, much quieter than the Gulf Shores area. We would highly recommend staying here - very friendly and helpful owners.
